“Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while”
~ Mark 6:31
This scripture was Jesus’ prescription of replenishment for His disciples after days of physical and spiritual output.
We live in a world where it is nearly impossible to have space for silence and solitude, yet it is still the spiritual discipline we need most; to make wise decisions, to know or discover ourselves in Christ, to embrace grief, to deal with the world.
The practice and discipline of silence and solitude help us take a break from our routine, focus our feelings, self-reflect and stay spiritually connected to God. During this 40 days series, let’s explore a stillness that allows for greater intimacy with God and fully experiencing joy in His presence.
