The Transformation of a Butterfly
The butterfly is a powerful representation of life. Its development process, Metamorphosis, is defined as a transformation. The butterfly’s life cycle involves multiple phases similar to God’s process of renewing our mind and reshaping our identity. During Metamorphosis, the old body dies and a new one is formed within a protective shell. This new body has gained all the muscles necessary to survive.
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. When we succumb to the wonders of God’s love, we’re transformed into something greater; something wonderful.
…He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate (Psalm 111:10)
