Join us for a meaningful Ash Wednesday service designed for the whole family to experience together. This all-ages service invites our community to come together for worship, reflection, and connection as we begin the season of Lent.

We will share a meal together at 6pm, followed by a time of worship at 6:30pm that includes reflection on the significance of Ash Wednesday. Ashes will be provided, and Communion will be celebrated as part of the service.

Please RSVP for dinner by February 16.

What exactly is Ash Wednesday? Read on!

Historically, the Church has gathered together to mark the beginning of one of the most important times of year for those who follow Christ – Lent.

Lent is a season marked out in the Church calendar where followers of Christ meditate daily on the immensity of Christ’s sacrifice given on our behalf. The “40 days” leading up to Easter starts with a service on the first day of Lent, traditionally called Ash Wednesday. At an Ash Wednesday service, followers of Christ gather to sing, pray, meditate, and in many cases take ashes on their forehead in the shape of a cross as a sign of their understanding of, and sorrow regarding, the suffering of Christ. In our case, we will begin the evening with a meal together, and turn our hearts towards the One who turned His face towards Jerusalem on our behalf.
