Third Thursday: Equipping

March 16, 2023 6:30 - 8:00pm  |  Vista Dublin

5626 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH, USA

Join us for the Third Thursday equipping time on Thursday, March 16 at 6:30pm at our Dublin Campus (5626 Frantz Rd).
Childcare provided with RSVP. Please RSVP by Monday, March 13.
This evening will cover 3 different topics: Theology, Discipleship, and Vista Values. It’s sure to be a deep and meaningful evening together.

>Theology
It is immensely challenging to understand the “problem of pain” within the context of an all-powerful, always-good God. How is it possible for God to allow for the various and continuous human atrocities of war, shootings, poverty, hunger, and mental illness? Just to name a few. Although pain cannot be extracted from the world, its existence within the purposes and plans of a benevolent God can be explained. We’ll provide the basic theological concepts to help shape your prayers and conversations.
>Discipleship
Everyone’s spiritual journey and maturation is unique, but also includes quite a few commonalities. As we endeavor to help one another along the path of faith and practice, we’ll cover another the third of nine components of healthy discipleship: the five simple yet powerful phases of helping others find their way back to God: B.L.E.S.S.
>Values
Why do we do what we do at Vista? Let’s talk about it, by starting with the in and outs, ups and downs (see what we did there?!) of Baptism.
