Gary serves our church as an Associate Pastor, focusing on discipleship, coaching, consulting, and leadership development. He and his wife, Kim, are parents to a son and daughter (and their spouses) and seven grandchildren.
The Treichlers have been at Vista since 2009. Gary loves the powerful teaching from God’s Word, based on the centrality of Jesus Christ and the gospel message. He appreciates that we take transformation seriously–not just hearing God’s Word but applying it in the context of Lifegroups, where we process the message and ask how we are to implement God’s word into our lives. He also resonates with our value of remaining simple, so that we have more time to have ministry with our neighbors, co-workers, parents, clubs and others who need to see and hear about Jesus.
Gary’s long-term goals for our church are to see us as multiplying people who take 2 Timothy 2:2 seriously and that we would entrust to reliable men and women who in turn will pass it on to others. He sees discipleship, consulting, and coaching as key to his contribution for God’s Kingdom. Gary wants to coach people to understand how God has uniquely created them, and how they can best contribute to His Kingdom.
