KAREN

Karen has been a part of Vista since 2017, bringing a deep passion for children and families to her role as a Kids Community Lead. Before joining the Vista staff, she served faithfully as a long-time volunteer in the Kids Community.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Arts in Reading Diagnostics from The Ohio State University. Karen spent many years teaching in Columbus City Schools, where she worked in an inclusion program supporting neurodivergent children. She also founded and operated a preschool daycare in downtown Columbus, providing an enriching environment for young children of working parents.

In addition to her role at Vista, Karen serves as the Director of Asset Management for her family’s commercial real estate development business.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys walking, reading, spending time in nature, and being with her husband, their adult children, and the family puppy. She is deeply passionate about shepherding the hearts of children and families and considers it a true privilege to be part of the Vista team.
